Back in the Kitchen

We're back in the kitchen.... well, we never really left it! Life Happens and so the food must go on!

We want to wish all of you the best of health and spirits this Holiday Season!

Looking forward to bringing you some great recipes and cocktails to provide for your entertaining! With those family get togethers, it's mandatory to keep stock!

Chile Cornbread Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

* Cornbread Mix
* 1 stick of butter
* 1 can cream corn
* 1 can green chiles

Preheat oven as suggested for cornbread mix.

Melt stick of butter.

Spray sides of baking dish and pour in melted butter.

In bowl, mix cornbread as instructed. Add can of cream corn and green chiles. Mix thoroughly.

Pour into bowl and bake as directed.

Serve with Crock Pot Chili.

Trader Joe's

Well I've been trying to shop smarter and healthier. With the kids back in school, I can shop without hassle as well!

So, needless to say, my trip at the local Trader Joe's was not only exciting but inspiring as well. I bought some new products I've never tried and had ideas and ingredients flowing through my head.

I happily tossed these Trader Joe's items in my basket: Cilantro Salad Dressing, Island Soyaki, Lite Kettle Corn snack bags and Smoked Apple Chardonnay Chicken Sausage. I also picked up a box of Cuties! (Yes my dear friends, I also selected 4 bottles of "2 buck Chuck" which rode up front in the basket!)

I was thrilled with my selection and the prices were great. Although I did leave my reusable bag at home! GASP! I know, which is a bummer since when you use your reusable bag, (doesn't have to be Trader Joe's), you get a raffle ticket and every Tuesday a ticket is pulled. If you happen to be the lucky winner, you get to fill your reusable bag with groceries....for FREE!
